This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our games and websites, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our apps or sites, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Pilot profile (optional): callsign (typically 3–16 characters), display faction, and a random pilot ID generated and stored on your device.
Gameplay & progress data: mission progress, scores, kill counts, owned ships/factions, settings, and similar game state. Stored locally on your device and optionally synced to cloud save if you create a pilot profile.
Leaderboard submissions: callsign, score, kills, and mission name when you complete a ranked run and submit to Galactic Rankings.
Technical / log data: standard web and hosting logs such as IP address, browser or device type, pages or assets requested, and approximate timestamps, via our hosting providers (for example Vercel).
Contact form data (website only): if you email or submit a contact form on mendelpearl.com, we receive the name, email, and message content you provide.
We do not require an account to play the free content of the Game. Creating a pilot profile is optional.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not collect government IDs, precise GPS location, contacts, photos, or microphone audio for advertising.
We do not sell personal information to data brokers.
We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

3. How we use information

To save and restore game progress (local storage and optional cloud save).
To operate global leaderboards (Galactic Rankings).
To process and fulfill premium unlocks and subscriptions.
To operate, secure, debug, and improve our games and websites.
To respond to support or business inquiries you send us.

4. Payments

Subscriptions and in-app purchases may be processed by Google Play Billing (when you install from Google Play) and/or PayPal (web checkout). Those providers process payment details under their own privacy policies. We receive confirmation of purchase or subscription status as needed to unlock content; we do not store full card numbers.

5. Third-party services

We use trusted service providers to run the apps and sites, including:

Vercel — hosting and delivery of web apps and this website.
Upstash Redis (or similar) — encrypted cloud storage for leaderboards and optional cloud saves.
Google Play — distribution and billing when you install from the Play Store.
PayPal — web payment processing when you choose that checkout path.

These providers process data only as needed to provide their services and under their respective policies.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data only:

With service providers listed above, to operate the Game and website.
When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
To protect the rights, safety, or security of users or the public.
Public leaderboard data (callsign, scores, related stats) is visible to other players by design.

7. Data storage & retention

On device: local progress remains until you clear app/browser storage or uninstall the app.
Cloud / leaderboard: retained while needed to operate rankings and cloud save, or until you request deletion.
Server logs: retained according to our host’s default log retention practices.
You may export progress manually using in-game save codes where that feature is available.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of a indie game service (HTTPS, access-limited hosting, encrypted cloud databases where used). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Age & audience

Our games and this website are intended for users 16 years of age and older. They are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a person under 16 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Your choices & rights

Play without creating a pilot profile (leaderboard and cloud save disabled).
Clear local app or browser storage to remove on-device data.
Delete account & cloud data: request removal of your pilot profile, cloud save, and leaderboard data at mendelpearl.com/delete-data.html or by emailing mendelt.pearl@yahoo.com.
Manage or cancel Google Play subscriptions in your Google Play account settings.
Depending on your region (for example GDPR/CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal data — contact us to exercise them.

11. International users

Our services may be hosted in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. By using the Game or website, you understand that information may be processed in those locations.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the apps or site after changes means you accept the updated policy. Material changes may also be noted in the app store listing or in-app notice when practical.
